Almost 2 years I manage 2 of our hotel branch in this company which is STAY SAKURA KYOTO GION NORTH(祇園北) and HIGASHIYAMA SHIRAKAWA (東山白川). There is one restaurant that is located between these places and I like to visit during my break time. The restaurant name is MARUSHIN HANTEN (マルシン飯店).
This restaurant serves Chinese food. From the outside it looks like a really old building and kinda dusty but there are so many people waiting in line especially if you go during lunch time. Most people that come here order Tenshin Han and Gyouza, they also serve take out home service.
For me I really often order B sets. Some of the staff seem to already remember my face because sometimes they just confirm to me “Do you order B sets?”.
Overall I can give a conclusion even though the place looks old and dusty, what they serve can be really good. It's also proven by so many people eating here and even waiting in line. I often recommend this restaurant to our guests who ask about which is a good restaurant around the hotel.
